Healthcare for All Americans
As we grow and prosper as a nation, the challenges that confront us are phenomenal. The lack of availability of healthcare has become a prominent issue within our country and has continued to elicit considerable debate. In recent years, the number of Americans without access to affordable and quality healthcare has increased tremendously while the facilities available to cater for the increasing number of patients are underfunded. Additionally, the people who suffer the most are the vulnerable and the elderly, whom we should all be caring for their needs. They argue that it is not their responsibility to pay for the healthcare of fellow citizens. Such arguments are valid and ought to be considered when making decisions. However, I urge you to consider the plight of the many Americans who cannot access health care whenever they need it because of lack of finances and lack of insurance cover. From my perspective, I do not think it is conceivable that an American citizen should be denied healthcare because of financial reasons. In essence, I know that the people who lack access to healthcare make tremendous contributions to the growth and prosperity of our nation. Fellow citizens, I believe that healthcare for all Americans is the surest way to cushion the people against medical costs that most cannot afford. Such a system would ensure that every American is protected and continues to contribute towards nation building.
My fellow classmates, I think Rogerian Argument is used daily as one try to persuasive side. Just like the Toulmin Style, did not know it had a name until this class. I will be using the Rogerian Argument in the
