Aden argues that the purpose of a museum is much more complex than that, and it varies from person to person. He examined the various processes and problems that occur in the creation of a historical site. Specifically, Aden examines Independence National Historical Park.…

The Midwest is home to states with rich cultural backgrounds and popular tourist attractions. To take a break from the busy schedule I have as a student, and to avoid writing more essays like this, I went on a vacation to Michigan with my mother and two siblings. We visited South Haven, a pleasant port city on Lake Michigan’s east coast, and Detroit, the famous largest city in Michigan. These areas interest me because there’s plenty to do; there are amazing restaurants, breath-taking scenery, and family-friendly, inexpensive entertainment. South Haven is famed for its relaxed atmosphere and homely feel.…

My visit to the Nelson-Atkins museum was unlike any of my other visits to museums. First of all, I had a solid purpose for going and found myself paying much more attention to the intricacies of pieces I was viewing. Secondly, due to its sheer size, this museum had a wide variety of art from many different cultures and time periods, giving each hallway and room a different feel. Lastly, I felt much more educated about what I was viewing, when compared to previous experiences. I waited until the 8th of July to drive to Kansas City and thus had read most of content that would be covered over the semester.…

As the number of items grew, it could not all fit in the museum space. A lot of the collection is displayed in the museum, but even more is stored in different hangars and facilities. I went online and read a little about the museum and found out that it was one of the top five museums in the country because of its cultural diversity and integrated urban population.
