Other factors play a role in determining this condition. Due to the economical crisis and to the related growth of the level of poverty, many families, especially in middle and low-income countries, are not any longer able to provide the sufficient amount of food to their children. The lack of nourishment and the hunger push young teens to leave their homes. Moreover this inability of the parents to feed their children increases anxiety in the nuclear family, resulting in some cases in violence.
