The history of hot dogs When I think of hot dogs I think of Yann’s hot dog stand in West Virginia. We would go there every weekend. You park your car a block away and stand in a line that goes down the street. But the line moves fast. Mr. Yann’s secret sauce no one knows the recipe but him and his kids and grandkids. People come from miles away for a big boxes of these hotdogs people can eat 7 in one sitting. But if you come to get some past one a clock you’re out of luck Yann’s only serves at lunch and only sells a certain amount a day once that amount is met they close. Hotdogs there are several stories of how the hotdog came around but I’m doing my favorite. Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, is traditionally credited with originating the frankfurter.
