Introduction
The Saucy hotel chain is a success story. For a long time, the Hotel has been in place; it has achieved a lot, both monetary and through CSR activities. Among the factors that can be attributed to this massive success is the recognition of the significance of its different departments, and stakeholders. The management of the hotel has always ensured that all the departments are working collaboratively towards the realization of the hotel’s overall goal and objective. Among the key departments that have made the Hotel an epitome of success is the Housekeeping department. However, regardless of the department being among the key contributors to its success, it is worth noting that running the department has been very costly. Since its establishment, the management has been using internal labor, which seems to be expensive. To solve this issue and bring the costs down, the management has contracted a consultant to develop a proposal for outsourcing the Housekeeping department to reduce costs and consider the use of external expertise. The proposal will be prepared by the board of senior management.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Functions of the Housekeeping Department
The department consists of different individuals who are tasked with diverse roles. The various individuals found in this department include the housekeeping managers, Supervisor and Room Attendant. These individuals play
