Another example of a person who changed the view of the people would be Nicolaus Copernicus. Copernicus had a hypothesis that we (the Earth that is) are NOT the center of the universe, but that all the planets revolve around the sun. Others did not believe this theory because, if God is as perfect as they think he is, why would he not put his most perfect creation as the center of the universe? Galileo proved this theory by taking the telescope and making and making a few changes to this. Yes any other person could have done this but they didn’t. It was Galileo. This is why they named the telescope after him. He made many discoveries such as, how the moon isn’t a perfect circle but how there are divots in its crust, how all the planets in the solar system revolve around the sun, and how the Earth lays on its axis and rotates to make a whole day. One revolution around the sun equals one year. Later on Galileo was put on trial for supporting this theory in the City of Worms. They made his recant his belief. I believe that the person is more important than the finding or invention or anything that they are known
