I have never enjoyed writing because I don't think I am good writer. I never want to sit down and write what ever is on my mind. English is one of my toughest subjects because since I’m not good at it, I haven’t taken the time to learn it properly, which makes it hard. In 8th grade, we were assigned a Research Paper. We were suppose to write at least 6-8 pages.…
I never considered myself to be an excellent writer but still thought I wrote well enough to get my point across without confusing the reader too much. However, any confidence that I had in my writing skills was lost for a short time when I had to write my first timed essay in school. Luckily, the timed essay assignment also helped me see that I needed to work on my writing and, as a result, actually turned out to be a more positive experience rather than a negative one. It was just another regular school day that was near its end, and I had one more class to go to before everyone was released to go home.…
In the article "Do You Really Think You Are a Good Writer?" the writer Amadeo Constanzo mentions, motivates, and inspires how really important students should work hard to improve their writing skills in remedial class whether they think they are good writers or not. Student should use their time as best as they can while they are in a remedial class to practice and improve their writing skills instead of being negative thinking it's not their level and not working hard. I strongly agree with the writer. Student are supposed to learn and improve themselves while they are in college.…
I would know say that am a decent writer, but not a terrific one. I know that I have to keep practicing, to improve myself every day. I am now confident in my ability to become an expert writer in both my college and in my job. The expectations for college writing are different from those for high school writing. I believe that my portfolio pieces show that I finished this course as a stronger writer.…
Whether we know it or not in this modern society we are writers everyday of our lives. These interactions shape not only how we communicate but how we write as well. Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Those same influences contributed to both my writing style in the classroom and to my identity as a writer. I spent a lot of my childhood with my nose deep in fiction novels at near by libraries.…
A writer to me doesn’t necessarily need to write. A writer is a dreamer, who sees characters and worlds swarm around them to form a story. They need no paper to make these stories real to them, but they may have a compulsion to do so. I have been like this my entire life, and I feel like most writers, if they’re meant to be writers, will say the same.…
The style you use when writing can be defined as the way you write and is the technique you use as an individual author. Although it can vary from writer to another, it depends on your syntax, your word choice and your tone. It can also be described as your voice that readers listen to when they read your work.…
1- My major is civil engineering and I tend to this area and loved the building and construction since it is the first major discovered. The ancients were using Civil Engineering to build civilizations. However, is really important nowadays for a lot of fields. 2- I would define “effective writing” in my chosen field when it really effective and getting the reader’s attention.…
Experience is a big part of writing a successful paper and having the correct tools like (Word) for proper grammar and spelling are helpful as well to help to be consistent and successful. My strategy is to try an outline before i write otherwise i forget what i am supposed to be talking about. Evryone has their own writing styles and allot of times i just write what i feel and i do my research on the required components also i'm not a very experienced writer…
The Language of Portraiture: Feelings Words and Identity I 've never really given much thought to the way I write or my writing style. I know I 've written a lot in my life so far, but this is the first time I 've ever been asked to figure out "Who Am I When I Write?"; and honestly this question baffles me to no end. I found out from my first paper in this class alone that I am not a very good writer. I was very shocked to find this out because I used to be a very well rounded writer when I was a just a few years younger. I guess I have times to blame for that, not going to school for five plus years and texting being the only form of writing that I ever do these days; it 's no surprise…
Spontaneous: describe me as a writer As a writer, spontaneous is one word that best describes me as a writer because I like to write without planning anything out and see where my thoughts goes. Occasionally, I can get stuck with writer's block and don't know where my thoughts are going. When I sit down to write, it’s mostly in a comfortable place, well-lit area, and well organized. The area must be free from distractions, so that I am able to focus and gather my thoughts and ideas. Sometimes I like to write down my thought that will help support and provoke more ideas.…
My writing is atrocious. I am not a great writer and I will never be a great writer. My writing is very basic and doesn 't grab the readers attention. A good essay flows.…
I’m happy with my writing skills but I obviously do see a need for improvement. I could improve greatly on procrastination and sentence structures. I certainly will strive to keep focused on the topic and to write as if it comes naturally to me so that I can write papers without worrying about too many things. In the end, I feel I am a hair above average when it comes to writing about topics because I think in a very mature way and it feels like a blessing in this age we live in. I hate to compare myself to others because as people we are all incredibly different from one another…
Writing never really comes onto the paper like how it comes to my mind, I wish I was able to put my thoughts onto the paper exactly how I see them in my head. Sometimes I do a really good job in expressing my thoughts, but at other times it just seems like a bunch of random rambling going on. That 's exactly how I am in person when I talk so I guess my writing matches my personality perfectly. Although I don 't consider myself a writer I do enjoy writing.…
When the semester started, I was terrified to take English due to my huge weakness in writing particularly a college paper. I started off evaluating myself as a weak writer, which I still am but with more knowledge now than where I stared at the beginning. I have learned to embrace the new writing techniques by familiarizing myself with my professor teaching methods. Coming from someone that thought they could not write a paper at all. Even though it’s been difficult, I still believe that I have made some progress.…
