And the independent variable was able to affect the dependent variable because the words in color determined the amount the participant remembered compared to the black words. Using my data table, the first time my participants were tested on the words they memorized, more colored words were remembered than black words. Research also said that words written in the color related to it gave people a better chance at remembering them because it plays as a mnemonic device for the human brain. However, age difference might have affected my experiment because my second participant who was 6 years old, memorized more words than my first participant, who was 11 years old. So maybe the older you became the less black words you can remember. Maybe next time I can have a group of different ages and test the amount of color and black words they can
