Hamlet knew that the ghost was telling the truth, which only drove him to complete the task. Hamlet also, noticed his uncle reaction of his father's death. Hamlet did not like his uncle Claudius, because of the lack of emotion Claudius showed towards his fathers passing. Claudius did not mourn the death of his brother, he celebrated by marrying his brother’s queen. Claudius married Hamlet’s mother Gertrude, which only infuriated Hamlet. Hamlet became disillusioned because he struggled coming to terms with his mother’s second marriage. His disillusion came from the anger he had towards his uncle Claudius and his mother Gertrude. Hamlet’s disillusions worsened due to his lack of mourning. Hamlet had no time to mourn his father's death because he was forced to celebrate the new marriage of Claudius and Gertrude. He knew it was time to kill Claudius, but he just didn’t know how to go about doing it. Hamlet’s plan was not just about killing Claudius, it is about sending his soul straight to Hell to suffer. Hamlet gets invited by Claudius to fence with him and Laertes. This was perfect time for Hamlet to kill Claudius. Hamlet did not know that Claudius and Laertes were planning the same thing. Hamlet was ready to come to the match, Claudius and Gertrude were expecting him. Against Horatio’s advice, Hamlet agrees to fight, saying that “all’s ill here about my heart,” but he knew someone was going to die. Before the match Hamlet asks Laertes for forgiveness, telling him that he was mad and not in his right brain. He apologizes for his Polonius’s death. He tries to explain it was an accident. Laertes does not forgive Hamlet but, he says, he will accept Hamlet’s offer of to marry Ophelia. The plan springs into motion, Hamlet and Laertes picks out their swords. The duel begins. Hamlet hits Laertes in the duel. Hamlet was offered a drink from the poisoned cup but, declines the drink, saying that he will play another duel first. He hits Laertes again, and his mother starts to drink from the cup. Claudius screams for her not to drink it, but she does it anyway. Claudius says in short breath that the cup was poisoned and it was too late. Hamlet was still in the duel with Laertes and was hit hard, it drew blood. Hamlet was hit by the poisoned sword. He
