There are some procedures that don’t have any age requirements as long as the teenager has their parent’s consent. For example, in the article, “A Minimum Age For Cosmetic Procedures,” the author states, “There is no minimum age requirement for this procedure…” (Minimum Age 1) The doctor’s do prefer if the clients are a little older when they are more developed but there are some people who are stubborn and will do anything to get what they want. Teenagers usually do not put much thought through what they want and could become unhappy with their decision. Being a certain age can make a difference because having to wait for about three to five years for a procedure gives extra time for the young clients to make their final decision. The client must be mature enough to be able to make their own decisions for themselves in a really important matter.
Setting an age requirement is not a difficult solution for the surgical clinics to create. The surgery clinics may lose some profits from the young clients that are regulars or new customers that were recommended to that clinic, but they will not have any difficulty in changing their terms and conditions in the contract.
