How Is Meg Different In A Wrinkle In Time

The novel, A Wrinkle in Time written by Madeleine L'Engle, talks about the character Meg Murry, who makes friends along the way that help the family struggles. When Meg tries to save Charles Wallace from the mind controlling IT, Meg finds out that difference can be good, and the greatest strength for Meg is love. Throughout the novel, A Wrinkle In Time, Meg proves to be a character who shows courage, learns knowledge, and understands important characteristics that make Meg different. Meg in A Wrinkle in Time shows many assets of courage. For example, When Mr. Murry and Calvin are figuring a way to save Charles Wallace,and the only one that can save Charles Wallace is Meg. “ You're given the form, but you have to write the sonnet yourself” (126). This because the whole time Meg wants Mr. Murry and Calvin to have the answers, but Meg has all the answers. The whole time Meg has been wanting Mr. Murry to have the answers but Meg has to find the courage. “Darling” he said, “I'm afraid your glasses won’t help.” (95). This shows that Mr. Murry can’t help Meg this time, and Meg will find the courage to get through this. Meg learns about knowledge a lot in the novel. In the text, Charles Wallace tells Calvin and Meg that difference makes problems and that’s why Meg has problems at school, because Meg’s different. “You’ve seen at home how true it is.
