Today's society can teach people to find the courage to stand up by using anecdotes, taking advantages of teachable moments, and demonstrating good choices. People should take the time and demonstrate the wrong choices to each other when the time is right.
Atticus the role model to his children for telling them that it's a sin to kill a mockingbird. As anecdotes are stories of experiences they can give people an example of how to stand up and teach them the courage to do so. Boo Radley was very innocent and has never bothered anyone but other people was trying to take advantage and hurt him by saying he was not a good human being. When a person learns a lesson from a teachable moment, they learn how to make decisions themselves and feel comfortable doing so. When Atticus was giving his children instructions on what was right and wrong, he was taking the opportunity to teach them a lesson in a teachable moment. Learning a lesson in an educating moment can be intensely useful throughout life. Teachable moments are meant to lead to success in life by learning new things in life everyday. They are great experiences for our future so we won't repeat the same mistakes over again. We can learn new things mistakes and remember not to do them again. We should take time and appreciate the mistakes we’ve made instead of feeling terrible about them because we won't make the same mistakes after and it's a great opportunity to educate ourselves.
