When reading the opinion article by Martinez he visually describes the town Brownville, Texas, where he grew up, which consist of a long tall fence that separates Texas from Mexico. Then Martinez explains the process of illegal smuggling whether it is drugs or humans and how building a new wall will not stop the smugglers. Afterward, he explains how in the past illegal immigrants became residents of the Brownville town because they were unable to cross based on the immigration checkpoints. The Martinez article describes his personal experiences of a person who was born and raised in the United States, and confused by people to being a Caucasian. In contrast, Mrs. Bermuda’s article describes Mr. Luna ordeals of getting from Colombia to the United States and how he was separated from his mother until she was able to come back. Whereas in the Martinez article, now his father has to remind him of the uncertainties of crossing the border to Mexico for any simple trip. Yet Mrs. Bermudez article narrates the pride of the U movement to tell the stories of successful immigrants, and how hard is to wear the U pin to identify themselves as
