Seat belts are everywhere. They can be found in cars, trains, airplanes, buses, and even at theme parks. Most people don’t mind using a seat belt on an airplane or rollercoaster, but using a seatbelt while in a car is becoming controversial. While some believe seatbelts are ineffective and a violation of personal choice, seatbelts should be a requirement for anyone riding in a car because multiple studies have proven their effectiveness, and even if a person received minor injuries from a seatbelt in a crash, it would be preferable to getting ejected from the car. When a person is involved in a car accident, they not only have to worry about the initial impact, but also the wave of force that distributes throughout the car after that first hit. If seat belts are in use at that time, they can protect against the forces that could potentially throw them out of the car.
