In this story, they focus on one man - Antonio Martinez - who had been lied to about coming into the U.S. for labor for a set time and then returning home. He entered a truck full of other passengers, and when they had crossed the border, he was then sold to a man who then put him to work in a field for approximately four months. Eventually, he finally saw a chance to escape and took it. After his escape, he decided not to go mack to Mexico, but rather stay in the U.S. to do self-labor.
These two stories share similarities in their own ways. For example, both had talked about specific examples of human trafficking, rather than just the broad scope of the topic. Thrupkaew’s story was her retelling the personal experience of human trafficking and how it had an effect on her. Afterwards, she goes on to tell the world about her story.
