Importance Of School Occupancy

9. Occupancy. The chapter house shall be available for occupancy from the third Sunday before the beginning of the fall term to the end of final examinations of the spring term. Provided, however, that the house will be closed from the end of the final examinations of the fall term to the second Sunday before the beginning of the spring term and during spring vacation and other breaks of the University during which the Chapter or the House Corporation elect to close the chapter house.
10. Board. The Board shall be available from the first day of classes/Work Week through the last day of classes each term. The Board shall consist of ten meals per week, to be served on the days and at the times determined by the Chapter, subject to the approval …show more content…
Care of Property. The Student shall take good care of the chapter house and its furniture, furnishings and equipment. She shall keep them in a neat, clean and orderly condition. They shall suffer and permit no waste to be committed in or upon them and the Student shall make no alterations or additions to the premises without the prior written consent of the Chapter and the House Corporation. The Chapter and the House Corporation may charge the Student for any special services that either of them provides or any special costs, which either of them incurs, in connection with the Student 's use or misuse of the chapter house or Chapter or House Corporation property. Upon the expiration or other termination of this contract, the Student shall return all keys and security items promptly upon request of the Chapter or the House Corporation, remove her personal property from the chapter house, and shall peaceably surrender possession of the premises and property in a clean condition and good repair. Ordinary wear and tear resulting from careful usage alone is accepted. After the surrender of possession by the Student, the Chapter and House Corporation shall have the right to dispose of any personal property left by the Student in or on the chapter house premises. The Chapter and House Corporation shall not be responsible for the Student to account for the disposal of such property. The Student shall not affix any items to the doors of her room. Damage/Indemnification. The Student acknowledges and agrees that she is responsible and liable for her personal actions and those of her guests and invitees, including but not limited to negligent or intentional acts, errors or omissions. The Student agrees to release the Chapter, House Corporation and Fraternity from liability related to and to defend, hold harmless and indemnify the Chapter, the House Corporation and the Fraternity, and their respective officers, agents, employees and volunteers, from and against any claims, damages, costs or expenses, including attorney 's fees, financial loss, or any loss or damage to property or for injury or death to any person arising in any way out of the acts or omissions of the Student or her guests, including but not limited to negligent or intentional acts, errors and omissions, or any breach of this contract by the Student, her guests, invitees or agents. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Student 's liability shall not extend to damage to the chapter house as well as its fixtures or furnishings to the extent that the Chapter and House Corporation receives or is entitled to receive insurance proceeds from the Chapter or House Corporation 's insurance coverage as a result of such damage. DAMAGE TO COMMON AREAS OF THE CHAPTER HOUSE WILL BE CHARGED ON A PRO RATA BASIS TO ALL OCCUPANTS OR MEMBERS. IN THE CASE WHERE INDIVIDUALS CAUSE DAMAGE AND THEY CAN BE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED BY AN OFFICER OF THE CHAPTER, THE SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS
