The world has changed vividly over the past hundred years. As these changes take place, the roles of the government are affected as well. The United States is known to be the land of opportunity. With a total of 52 states and the population increasing rapidly, the roles of government in American lives are very important. The government have the ability to form trades with other countries that will provide jobs for many families. Business ventures such building bridges and expanding roads are a couple ways how jobs can be developed by the government. These projects are funded through the state that hire thousands of men and women. Training and career development are made available for individuals in need of a career, funded by federal and state governments. After losing my job in the casino industry, the unemployment agency provided me with essential information on programs that would allow me to get training on a trade and find a job. There was also an option to enroll in a college degree program that was funded by the state and financial aid was provided. Although jobs are created by the government, we still struggle with our unemployment rate.
