“Hills” to a runner is a type of workout in which you run up and down hills repeatedly and in some cases only run up and walk or jog back down. “Race day” isn’t a race but rather a special occasion. You run whatever distance your next race will be in practice giving the run your one hundred percent effort. This is meant for the coach to see what he needs to work with you on the most. A “fun run” is much different to a runner than it is to an individual in the public. The runner’s version can range anywhere from three point one miles all the way up to five miles and sometimes more depending on if there is time available. The fun part is that you can jog the entire thing and not get punished for doing so.
The group seems to have no immediate or even underlying conflicts within it. Each runner and the coach all work well together and anything rude that’s said is meant to be taken jokingly. The coach never places a runner’s basic need before anyone else’s and always makes time to hear everyone’s ideas. The team gladly puts someone in their place if they ever become cocky or
