Throughout the trajectory of a person’s life course, many changes occur given the different developmental stages that take place in the process of growing, maturing, and adapting to the physical and emotional demands of aging. As a person ages, transitions into different roles, and the complicated adaptations required by those roles; many times bring feelings of integrity or despair depending on the coping abilities of the individual.
