I think that the article overall was a little biased towards the lower income people. It seemed to me that they were coming up with excuses for them and why they can’t be successful. They did this by using many theoretical examples of what a low income family is like. In their case they claim that it is mainly parents who had kids young and got married early. They didn't go to school and then ended up breaking up making that kid live with one parent instead of two. However,I don’t think that is a fair statement to make ,because that happens to a lot of people today, and it doesn’t really matter how much they make. Look at celebrities they make a lot and they break up all the time, it’s not simply something that only happens when you marry too young and are poor. The author does have a point though when he says that the lower income don’t have the same opportunities. They really backed up what they were saying as far as opportunities go with a lot of stats from studies done for that
