Summative Assessment Ever thought of a death in snow, probly not. in the story ‘’To Build a Fire’’ by James London. is the story for you. the main character is ‘’THE MAN’’ and the secondary characters include the Dog and the elders. it is about how this main that is new to the yukon and decided to trek to the village to give the boys there food. then he makes a serious mistake that will end his life. thus my thesis is to never give up. when it comes to the cold you have to think of amin things that go on. this included preparing when you're going to eat or when your going to be at your location, or if something happens. take this major mistake for example ‘’ he was not much given to thinking’’ . this could result in many mistakes happening with when is not thinking. this proves my theseus because he is making a serious mistake that could cost his life. then are many more he his done. if you own a pet and would you just through your animal into frozen ice, most likely not. this another mistakes he makes because you can't just be dialing hiking in 50 below. it states in the texts ‘’the dog did not want to go’’ then all of a sudden’’the man shoved it forward, suddenly it broke. this is a major mistake because now your one parter/dog paws are now froze for the leg down. now he has to stop to help the dog which will …show more content…
this a major mistake he makes in the text. its states “he wetted himself halfway to the knees” which then it states “this would delay him for an hour”. this is 2 mistakes in one . the first one is he is now wet which could make the chance for survival 20 times harder. that can very much cost his life. then the second one is he is now delayed for an hour in this cold has cold can get environment which could again affect his survivability . this supports my thesis statement because this changes his way of survival and time which is a serious

Charles Tucker died on September 1st, 2154. It came as a shock to everyone aboard Enterprise, especially after surviving so many incidents with the Xindi and the other dangers of the Expanse. In the early days of space travel, and even in the early days of the mission, a mechanical accident was considered a real and present danger and a risk the crew would have to take, but after what they had all seen, the idea that a simple equipment malfunction could cause such a talented engineer to lose his life was nearly inconceivable. In the old days, when an accident such as this occurred, one of the engineers or perhaps the weapons officer, would have repaired the equipment, found the obvious cause for its malfunction, and moved on. This was what…

With Yorick’s discovery of an innovative communication system, Sterne reveals that this new form is more effective than explicitly revealing his character’s emotions. During his encounter with the Lady of Calais, Yorick explains that her melancholy produces a certain feeling of tenderness that causes him to want to cherish her, but instead of conveying this through conventional language, he accomplishes it using the “the pulsations of the arteries,” which he uses to pass along the message from his fingers to hers (Sterne 20). This interaction through the pulses of the heart reveals that not only is bodily function a more convenient form of communication but also a genuine method as it directly involves body organs.
