Many people have shares of Amazon, that continue to grow every year ‘til this day. The site eventually grew out of just selling books and is now selling almost anything you could think of. The site was known as the e-commerce leader. As Amazon began to grow, in 2006 they launched a video on demand service. This service was originally called “Amazon Unbox on TiVo” and later called “Amazon Instant.” In 2007 they released the Kindle, which allowed the company to continue to grow with different versions of this device. A Kindle allowed an individual to download movies, books, and magazines for their personal use. In 2011, the Kindle Fire HD was produced, this almost replaced the Apple IPad. Bezos said, ‘We haven't built the best tablet at a certain price. We have built the best tablet at any price." In 2014 Bezos purchased, “The Washington Post.” This $250 million purchase reached the headlines worldwide. This increased his net worth, and income for him and his …show more content…
I hope he always sticks to the plan of customers come first. Amazon is a very convenient website for me, and may other people around the world. This makes many things much easier and cheaper. Jeff being worth over $14 billion is great for his family of his wife and four children. He is very proud of his children and focus on making them happy. I hope that they will follow in his footsteps at become CEOs or continue on with Amazon.com. Who would’ve thought a small idea in his parents garage could grow to be a multi-billion dollar career and business. Jeff has impacted the world we live in today greatly, without his works we wouldn’t have the amazing networking system that we use on an everyday basis.
