On the day of April 15th, 2014, a precious little girl by the name of Julia Norris passed away and was accepted into Heaven. Julia was the sister of my great friend Jordan. She passed due to a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma brain tumor. This doleful event caused me to put my life into a new perspective. The laws of life that I now follow as of a result of this tragedy are, don't take life for granted, live life in the moment, and that God has a plan for everyone.
One night, Julia went to sleep, just as I do every night. The only difference is, when her parents tried to wake her up, they found her in a state that she and they would never recover from. As this shows, I should never take life for granted because before I know it, everything could change. It could be in the blink of an eye, or one night of sleep, but just like that, my world could get flipped upside down. We may not understand now or even ever why some events take place, but God knows that it is in his plan for it to happen that way. In my life, I am still going to make the correct choices and do the right thing, but I now understand that God is in control of my life. Julia’s death was a tragic event for many people, but God knows that it has been just a minuscule step in his larger plan.
In conclusion, Julia’s death brought much sorrow into my life as well as many others, but it also brought much more thought in my life. This traumatic event caused me to think about and continue to put into action my three laws of life. I have learned countless lessons from a numerous amount of events, but this one has and will continue to impact me the most. Not only did Julia’s passing change the Norris’s life forever, but mine as
