Christian emperor. His Father was emperor so he became emperor by birthright, but since the
Roman Empire was split he was emperor of only the western part. While he was expanding his empire a civil war broke out because the other Roman emperor died so he seized control of the eastern part and gave control of the eastern part to Lucinicus. Then Licinius broke treaty with
Constantine which said neither would not prosecute Christian anymore since Licinius broke the treaty so Constantine defeated him in battle and united the Roman Empire. He built new building in Rome and made a new capital of the Roman Empire called Constantinople. He is the reason why Christianity spread through the Roman Empire and became so popular throughout the world.
