Katherine Johnson Accomplishments

Katherine Johnson an African American mathematician who devoted her life to making NASA successful. She was born on August 26, 1918. She was born lived and grew up in white Sulphur springs. She attended West Virginia State. She had a lot of accomplishments. One of her accomplishments was successfully joining NASA as an African American. Katherine Johnson attended West Virginia State. She began her career at National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. She worked in the Guidance and Navigation Department. One of her awards included NASA Langley Research Center Special Achievement award. This was the first award she received. Another major award she received was Honorary Doctor of Laws. She fought her way to be successful. As a result of this, she is one of many sucessful scientist to be on top. Katherine Johnson must have been honored to recieve so many awards. As an African-American, to recieve so many award throughout her life had to be a priviledge. Throught her life, she worked and strived for success. This is what made her so successful as a scientist. As of today, Katherine Johnson is still recieving awards for her success. Katherine Johnson just got a 23 million dollar research facility. She must have been very astounded. Last but not least Katherine johnson is still going on strong. With a age of 99 she is as powerful as can be. With an new space facility named after her she is just as happy as can be. After all the stress she been through to be a successful mathmatician she is of of a million African Americans being so successful in life. In my oponion, being in that position for so long would be very stressful to me to the point that i would be able to take this any more.
