1.) Kohlberg’s model of moral development is made up of three levels. These levels consist of pre-conventional, conventional, and at the end would be post conventional. He acknowledged the fact that there was different ways and stages in the model to show values.
The issues in the specified case all fall into the Kohlberg’s model and a specific level. Since Barbara shows behavior of that which must do with societal changes, she would fit in the conventional stage of the model.
1.) Pre-Conventional – 1.) Avoidance of any punishment= rules must be conducted in obedience and 2.) having the satisfaction of self-interest. In this stage, Diane is acting selfish and not acting obedient due to fear of punishment. Three of the members decide with Diane to not report any concerns about the deficiencies to Jessica. Haley agrees with Barbara to immediately show the deficiency to Jessica. Therefore, to maintain her self-interests, Diane has believed that the best option is to not comment the deficiency to Jessica, since she was the one in charge to find the certain error in the beginning.
