In Bangladesh, Urban areas are polluted with slum dwellers. Slums are available in urban cities. Almost 30% of our population, more than 14 million population lives in slums characterised by tenure insecurity and evictions, and controlled by ganglords who charge exorbitant rates for basic services. (Procedia Economics and Finance, 2014). Dhaka has its greatest slum in Gulshan area, named Korail slum.
At first, the occupational Condition of the slum : The Male people work as rickshaw puller, day laborer, run small business, garments worker, office peon etc. The maximum Females work as part time maidservant, day laborer, garments worker or sweeper. The Young girls generally work in the garments. Children work in different shops or construction &transport sites as child laborer.

Impacts of climate change were assessed purposively on three livelihood capitals namely financial, social and human. Stratified Random Sampling method was applied for questionnaire survey. The four slums were selected regarding location, type of structure, density and size. The workable sample size of household (HH) was determined to be 374 for four slums. This total Household was equally distributed among selected slums according to the household number of each slum. The distributed household sample size for Korail slum was 140, sattala 172, Nakhalpara 27 and south begunbari 35. 3 Key Informant Interview (KII) and 8 Case Study were conducted for qualitative research.
