“Although most of us have seen people die on television, death does not necessarily occur in a dramatic way. When it touches us, death can raise all kinds of feelings.” Whether we like it or not, children start to learn and understand life by watching television. On TV we see several different versions of death, but usually it’s over dramatized for the views. This how children see death at this point, so when someone dies suddenly or quietly. It can be really confusing, well this wasn’t what it looked like on Tv? It’s good to let kids know how death really happens. Another quote I found to enjoy was “There are many reasons why the idea of a parent or a friend’s death is frightening Often you can imagine dangers which are not really there” I like this I’m sure I’m not the only person who has ever imagined what it was going to be like if a parent or friend had died. It’s scary to think about this kind of stuff because you know it’s going to happen someday it just might not be the way you are imagining it. The final quote I found the most interesting and just thought would be “Often if someone important to you has died, it can take a long time to stop feeling sad. I do feel like this would be a good book for parents and children to read. If you are a parent and looking for ways to talk to your children about death, I’d totally recommend this book for that situation! However, if you were here just wanting to read a book to your children just for fun I’d suggest another
