In the book, everything's an argument; the various authors claim that some debates are apparent in their context while others, “first present reasons and lay out a case that leads you to accept a claim in conclusion” (Lunsford, Andrea A.et al. 99). Stephanie Hanes chose the writing method that is more complex and open-ended. She repeatedly presented both sides of every claim, while still trying to direct her readers in the pathway she wanted them to progress towards.
