Macy's Business Analysis

I am currently a student in college and I have been searching for job. I searched online for possible retail jobs and I saw an application for a job at Macy’s that I am very interested in. I love fashion and I have shopped at Macy’s many times in the past. I visit my grandparents often and it is tradition for my grandfather and I to shop at Macy’s. It is this loyalty that has given me extensive knowledge about Material Girl, GUESS, Charter Club and many others. It only seemed fitting that I apply to a store that I have such a significant history with.
I have experience working within a team as well as experience in communications. I have interned at the Montgomery County State's Attorney’s Office where I have been tasked with many communications

Place Location is a crucial factor in operating a successful business. Professor Dina Gerdeman, a professor at the Harvard School of Business, makes a clever analogy between geographic business strategy and board games. She believed that the location of a business should be thought of in the short-term, like a checkers match, rather than in the long term, like a chess match (Gerdeman 2012). A company must be rapidly adapting to the Global Market. Without fast reaction to the market forces, Bed Bath and Beyond will be out-competed by its competitors.…

Bed Bath & Beyond Some would argue that Bed Bath & Beyond offers the lowest prices on home accessories, while others would argue that Amazon or Wal-Mart have the lowest prices. This is also applying to Best Buy stores where customers stop in to play with the latest tablets, computers, electronics, and appliances before checking Amazon.com. Collins goes on to say, “Good-to-great companies think differently about the role of technology. They never use technology as the primary means of igniting transformation; yet, paradoxically, they are pioneers in the application of carefully…
