According to the reading “Leave Your Name at the Border” first recalls about how our author Manual Munoz and his mother was at the airport and how they saw a lady at the airport who happened to make herself look lighter than she actually was. She did that so she could fit in with the person around her, which demonstrates that she is ashamed of who she is and how she looks like, this is known as passing.
