Marching Band, Or The Church Orchestr Self Analysis

One of the great things in today’s world is how many different ways one can express oneself. A few prime examples are writing, painting, debating, and music. I personally express myself is through playing my trombone and creating music. Whether it is in Marching Band, Symphonic Band, or the Church Orchestra I show the world how I feel, think, and believe. Through music I convey my emotions to anyone who will listen, but depending on what I play and who is listing the world responds in very different ways. Not only has music and band taught and helped me express my emotions, they also molded me in to the man that I am today. Marching Band was the first experience that changed who I was. It taught me both discipline and precision. Both of these traits helped me in my study, but I also learned that in expressing myself I had to disciplined and wait for …show more content…
For example, to the untrained eye Marching Band seems to be very loud and complicated, but, while it is loud and complicated, to someone that has been in a marching band before they know that it is all very precise and everyone in the band has to be well disciplined for everything to be perfect. Another example, is that during a recital by the Concert Band people that do not understand music just hear pleasing sounds, while someone who understands the art and beauty of music feels the pulse and hear the story that they music is telling. Playing in the Orchestra receives the widest amounts of responses, because not only do you have to understand the art of music, but you must also believe in the same God as the person playing. This is also why playing in the church orchestra is my favorite way to express myself, because I get to show the world not only my love for music but also my love for God and how he has blessed
