In an informative speech there are different points of view, they can exchange ideas or opinions. The objective is to transmit knowledge, to get the attention of the public, to introduce what is going to say, inform, and summarize. Personally, I like to give informative speech when it is a topic that I like or I have knowledge about. Many of their findings were applied to their rituals and used to serve the gods. Astronomy, which led to the 365-day calendar we use to this day, was due to the Mayans extensive belief and research in the stars and the universe, which they thought were creations of the gods. This knowledge of time assisted them in harvesting their crops and predicting cosmic activity. Also, it is significant that the priests were the ones who usually led most innovations, most likely because they were the most educated. However, because of this, most innovations usually had a religious purpose behind them as well.…

I like that mention how at times Syncletica probably felt lonely without family or support from others and may have thought about returning home. This isn’t something I’ve ever thought about but it makes a lot of sense. Everyone goes through hard times and, being in the situation that she was in, I’m sure it was no different for Syncletica. I’m sure that religion and the intense devotion she felt for it was a huge part of what pushed her through the hard times and made her stay. I find it really cool that religion can be such a motivator for people.…

Students have taken it upon themselves to decide where someone is from and how they got here.…

Ancient civilization is full of many different stories and different ways of living. The ancient civilizations that we have studied such as Ancient Mesopotamia, ancient Eqypt, and ancient Greece are all very unique in their own ways but the greatest one in my opinion would be Ancient Egypt. I chose ancient Egypt for various reasons. The most obvious reasons would be that the Egyptians did not have to be sent off on their own at a young age to learn how to survive and learn how to go to war like the ancient Greeks. Another thing that the Egyptians did not have to do was live by the Hammurabi code like in ancient Mesopotamia.…
