In the Six- Step Model of crisis intervention (Parikh and Morris, 2011) shared that an important step is helping the client define the problem, ensure clients safety and provide support. This is an important intervention because it’s the therapist and the client have a clear definition of what they are working on. If there is not something that they are working on then therapy might not be beneficial because why the client would be going with no clear define goal or treatment issues. It would also allow for me and Carlos to explore what the real problem is.
