Technology has influenced our lifestyles for years now, but children are becoming immune with electronic devices by the age of eight and younger. Parents need to consider that having their children look at a screen for a long time is bad for them. In The future, they will constantly use it for everything, so parents need to control screen time for their children and entertain them more like electronic devices do; so make rules for the electronic devices like limit screen time and be active. In Tracy Crawford’s article “In Mental Health Matters: How technology can affect you mental health,” wrote about how technology can cause children can be diagnosed with mental illnesses bipolar disorder, autism and etc. “ If a child is demonstrating problem behavior and/ or psychotropic medications are being considered, turn off the technology first” (Crawford). This explains that children aren’t connecting or interacting with others, which is why children are getting diagnose with mental illnesses very early age. Having a child take medication because he/she was diagnosed with some mental illness due to technology is upsetting.
