In Michael Norton’s TED talk we are shown how to buy happiness. Most of us know the term “money can’t buy happiness”, but Michael says “you just aren’t spending it correctly. Michael also goes into ways that money doesn’t make us happier. Winning the lottery is one of these examples. Studies say that most people who win the lottery actually notice a decline in happiness. Their friends end up leaving them or just want to get money off of them. In fact the more money we have, the more we tend to be anti-social. Michael then goes on to talk about an experiment that was done in Vancouver at University of British Columbia. Participants were given either $5 or $20 and half were told to spend it on themselves and the other half was told to spend it

Does money really buy happiness? Well evidently both writers, Juliet Schor and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, explain that many people enjoy buying things to keep them self-delighted. Although both writers explain that money can’t buy pursuit of happiness, Schor’s argument was over material, whereas Csikskentmihalyia argues that happiness can’t be bought with just money, but by asking yourself if you’re delighted with yourself. Therefore, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi has a more reasonable reason explaining to us that money is not a way to buy happiness, but just telling yourself if you’re satisfied with what you have. Both writers have a decent clarification on how humans make themselves happy with just significant equipment.…

How do we do it wisely?” Juan Enriquez persuades the audience towards why altering lifecode is necessary and how humans have have been doing so for thousands of years through breeding. Enriquez develops his argument by providing insight on how humans have altered the mustard weed to specifically grow broccoli, cauliflower, and kale over thousands of years and now we are able to accelerate this process through genetic changes in plants but also in animals, particularly humans. Enriquez continues to explain how humans have used genetic altering (replacing specific genetic code causing disease) and how this is integrated into every human's life (genetically modified food and materials).…

However, and it was such a surprise for many people, at the end of the survey, the people who were conducting the research indicated that money itself rarely resulted in real happiness. Well I was thinking on that common saying:…
