Hirsch's main focus in this article was this idea of a missional-incarnation impulse. He stresses that the church needs both foundations to achieve God's mission. He states on page 128, "The missional-incarnation impulse is, in effect, the practical outworking of the mission of God (the missio Dei) and of the Incarnation...It is thus rooted in the very way that God has redeemed this world, and in how God revealed himself to us". To have a missional-incarnation impulse, you must strive to spread the Gospel to ALL groups of people. I really like what he talks about on page 132 as well. He mentions God's intentions when sending Jesus to earth as flesh and blood, "we can understand him because he is one of us" ( Pg. 132). I agree with Hiersch
