The Mod styles was first a subculture developed by teenage Teddy Boys in 1950s. The Teddy Boys dressed up like tailored Edwardian clothes and they listened to American rock’n’roll. According to the Dick Hebdige the originators of the Mod subculture have devoted from the Italianate stylish that appear in working class bandies, but according to Simon Frith the Mod style and movement had originally from Beatnik Coffee Bar culture from Art school students in London.
In the Mod history style, the Mod shows had been declined from in the Mod scene and the popularity during that time was psychedelic rock and the hippie in the United Kingdom. The history of Mod style has a great turning after some of the population or small bands like The who and The small faces they considered that they’re no longer part of the Mods. However, the Mod style have changed into Bohemian style London hippie.
The Mod history beginning to spread around again during 1970s in London from people that are not associate with middle-class hippie and intellectual music. They started to listen to Jamaican Ska songs and also attend underground parties and clubs. These hard Mods developed in first skinheads, a non political groups and hung out with Black Rude Boys.
