Monologue About Homework

For weeks I’ve been trying to schedule a time for us to hang out but every time I ask she says she can’t. It’s always the same excuse too, she always says, “Sorry Lupe not today the baby has to go to the park”, or “not today Lupe the baby is asleep and I need to get some rest”, or “sorry Lupe the baby has something that is more important than our friendship.” Her whole life revolves around that stupid baby. On top of that, she always has “homework”. The reason I say “homework”, is because I think she just says that so she doesn't have to hang out with me.

I just think since she’s had

Additionally, “ Didn’t you ever seen an idiot child before? Some people just shouldn’t have children, should they?” Her intentions aren’t to be rude and negative, yet her honesty and negativity helps support the fact that she is judgmental; she seems to be very judgmental.…

Monologue I always love talking with young Malcolm, he is such a nice young man, I always want to listen to my students but sometimes Malcolm goes on and on about all these different inquiries, sometimes I wish he would just shut up!. As I am minding my own business just cutting the rose bush Malcolm is going on about how he thinks the new kid Sebastian is hiding something. I do think he is overthinking and worrying to much about Sebastian, I just wish he could just leave me alone and go care for something else so I can get back to my rose bush. I have things to do and places to be, I have to go wash the windows by the library at noon and then help prep tomorrows lunches, the last thing I need is Malcolm accusing Sebastian on some crazy assumption he is going to hold me up!.…

Hippocampus Obviously, when I hear the term, hippocampus, I think of hippopotami! I think of a college campus full of them roaming about. I imagine these creatures prancing around on two feet, carrying a backpack on their backs, walking to class. I then think of them trying to type on the keyboards in the library with their ginormous feet.…

In the first exploration, we explored the opening monologue of the Narrator and the very first scene. This first scene is important as it can be linked to the idea of omnipresence and control of play. In this case, the control is over how social class affects the main characters. This can also relate to Greeks’ idea of Fates who decide the fate of humans for their own pleasure. The Narrator is always there and it is as if he is amused by the actions of Mickey and Edward.…

Last semester was definitely the hardest for me. I have two challenging research papers toward the end of the semester. I find it hard because I did not know what to write about and which assignments I should start on first. I manage to overcome this challenge by narrowing the topics and start on the paper that was closest to deadline. My stress level was at 10 because I skip meals and stayed up all night long to finish my papers.…

My parents have said to work hard and do my best in school. I never understood why until I got older. The reason they told me to do my best in school was because they wanted me to think about school and my future. Both of my parents didn't get the chance to go to college. They both came to the United States looking for what most people come to the United States for ‘The American Dream’, they wanted a place where they could raise their children and find a stable job.…

The monologue that I wrote and performed was inspired by two different poems both possessing the theme of anxiety. The first poem was by Patrick Roche The Perfect Panic Attack and the second Social Anxiety Disorder by Sabrina Leira. In the first poem Patrick goes through instructions on how to have the perfect panic attack and recounts different features that would be included when someone does have a panic attack. ‘Find a trigger.…

I completed my ten-hour class observation at the private school Georgia Military Prep. The Georgia Military Prep School is located on Georgia Military College’s main campus in Milledgeville. At GMC prep I observed Ms. Jennifer Spencer's advanced eighth grade math class. Ms. Spencer has a decidedly pleasant air about her, a quick smile, and a brisk step that belies her ‘let us get the job done’ type attitude. On my first day observing her class, I soon gathered that Ms. Spencer always has a goal in mind when she sets foot in the classroom.…
