Designer Babies As much as this field of scientific research is highly interesting as an area of study, a baby is not a product that one can design babies. Why do the parents desiring such babies succumb to the dogma that such babies would be born without any chance of carrying future illnesses and they would be an unblemished child?. The parents give their consent to the scientists to manipulate the genetics of the embryo. This is a gross violation of a child’s fundamental human right to lead a life whose basic form is not dictated while the child has still not found himself or herself in the mother’s womb. Apparently, many cases have been recorded in which they decide to go for a designer baby in order to use the “stem cells”. Once the baby is created, parents remove the cells required and give the baby for adoption. Moreover, some parents go ahead and abort the baby. Many couples want this procedure just for enhancing the features of babies, which is more likely playing with the natural Will and Creation of God. (Org, 2015).

Furthermore, there is an issue of testing to evaluate whether the technology is safe or not. The assessment was conducted to measure the challenges and issues of embryo genetic manipulation. This inclusive search was conducted in the PubMed, SID, Magiran, Iranmedex, Scopus and Google Scholar databases in the period between 1990 and 2015. Titles and abstracts lists were estimated and, without the irrelevant articles thirty articles were reviewed. The related report of the United Nations and WHO were also examined. Lastly, the vital results of the articles were noted. Two issues were noted: gene therapy and eugenics, Study revealed that in some cases there was an existence of viral infections moreover, these problems turned into ethical disturbances such as monopoly, discrimination against people with deformities
