Time flies like an arrow, instant of time, more than half of the semester had passed, and I have finished two essays with Mrs. Lynette teaching. During this time, I was very happy to meet Mrs. Lynette and my classmates. Also, I felt that my writing skills have improved. It cannot be separated from the requirements of Mrs. Lynette for writing. After that, our first draft would be written, finally, our essay would be finished. Personally, I think this is a very effective and reasonable process of writing an essay. I can make our brain very clear that how to write this essay, we wrote it from the invention to the outline, the words will be more and more and the argument will become more and more clear. By writing outline and invention, we could write the drafts of the whole essay much easier. When we finished our first draft, we would correct each other’s first draft and gave some suggestions with our classmates, and then, we would have a conference with Mrs. Lynette, she would …show more content…
Lynette. Before this class, I even did not know that the MLA and APA format, I just knew that I need to write what the professor let us write. Now, I know the format which should I use, and how to use the sources correctly. By learning from Mrs. Lynette, I found a very serious question about my writing, it was the punctuation’s using. In my first essay, my incorrect use of punctuation led me to lose a lot of points. Then, Mrs. Lynette let me know, what is the correct using of the punctuation. If she did not let me realize this serious problem, I think it will be a very big trouble in the future. Also, it was very sweet that the first essay do not account for a large proportion, and Mrs. Lynette told us, it could let us realize our problems, and we can get more points in the next two

I learned about how to write a thesis statement, creating an effective outline, and how to create an outline in 15 minutes. My little sister Lyla is someone in my life who at only nine years old shows all the characteristics of being a mockingbird. One of the main traits possessed by mockingbirds is the desire to help others. Lyla displays this trait everyday by helping around the house with chores and yard work that aren’t her responsibility. One time she did all of my chores for me, just to take away some of the stress I had that day.…

The success and final outcome of these essays could not have been accomplished without the assistance and guidance of many people. Without their help, I would not have been able to produce the work at the level in which I did. These assignments could not have been completed without the tutors at the SAGE Learning Center, who have given excellent feedback and helped me with improving my grammar and writing structure. I would like to thank Cynthia VanSickle for pushing myself, and the rest of the class, to write to our fullest potential. I hated it at times however, I learned a great deal about writing.…

Louisa May Alcott was an American novelist, short story and fairytale author, poet, essayist, and editor. She has often been praised for creating characters that speak their mind, especially those who were grammatically incorrect and improper. Although she disregarded the rules for children’s literature in the nineteenth century by creating these flawed, though loveable characters, children could identify with them more than the angelic children that other books shaped children of that time period, to be. Although Little Women was a novel for girls, it notably differed from current writings for children. the novel addressed three major themes; family-life, work, and love.…
