First of all, teenagers are often noisy and messy. In Munchy’s ad they state “aren’t you tired of eating lunch surrounded by noisy high school students?” This means that adults don’t want to deal with any of these interruptions during their lunch and dinner hours. “Aren’t you infuriated seeing teenagers takeover our downtown area while on our free time from work?” These teens cannot go in and out of every restaurant they want to just make a mess.

The article states that many wealthy business people were keeping their distance from restaurants like Munchy’s because of the “havoc high school students cause everyday at lunchtime.” A smart idea that this editorial included was that Munchy’s are going to ban teenagers between noon and 3p.m.
However, on the November 15th student blog entitled, “Munchy’s Bans students”, the writer states that most people do not agree with these arrangements. The writer of the blog states that business people are “always on their phones,” and are much nosier than teenagers. The blogger also encourages students to get together, gather in front of the restaurant, and pass out leaflets protesting spiteful treatment if they are banned.
