Music will not provide the supplies needed for the poor. However I beg to differ, American musical artist Ray Charles was very poor growing up, having been born in the Great Depression, where there were a lack of jobs, money, and food. Charles despite the odds managed to make a very successful living for himself as a musician.
Lastly Tzu finishes by saying “If the rulers, ministers, and gentlemen of the world truly desire to promote what is beneficial to the world and eliminate what is harmful, they must prohibit and put a stop to this thing called music!”(312).
