I felt this was more appropriate for the type of position that I am currently in. I currently work from home as a Prior Authorization Nurse for an insurance company, so as you can imagine it is very difficult to get that personalized feeling with your co-workers that you would normally get working in an office. There are some days I don’t talk to anyone other than the medical offices I’m calling. There is a definite feeling of loneliness. Looking at the environment you’re in, think about how you communicate, are you someone who withdraws from conflict, express yourself, etc., and use those learning styles about yourself to act them to better your communication. I do feel like I learned about myself and my communication style from reading this article. I have actually thought of some team bonding activities that I would like to try with my team to see if it will help us get to know each other better.
