Gullible, innocent, and easily manipulated. Ed had convinced us that it was normal to do what he was doing. He told us that everybody did it, that all families do this. But that we whatever we did couldn’t tell our parents. Or else he’d be mad at us. When I finally told my mom, I didn 't understand why she was so upset. I, along with my brother and cousins, thought that it was okay. I remember the day I told my mom, about what he was doing, perfectly. That was the hardest I’ve ever seen my mom cry. We then shortly moved out of my grandparents house. We moved to golden colorado and my mom met this guy named Greg King, and then got married. Like any typical step dad he was mean, but he wasn’t at all like the man my grandfather was and my mom 's current boyfriend. They were married for a while until I was around eight. They got divorced and nothing seemed to get better. Even with him out of the house and even with us not living with Ed anymore. With everything from therapy, counseling, and social services it was probably more overwhelming than the actual court blow out. I hated counseling and therapy with a passion. I was young and angry at everyone and everything around me. The last thing I wanted to do was tell some random person I didn’t know about what had happened to me. I didn’t want her to know anything. The last thing I wanted was another person to ask me what I felt or what I was feeling. What I felt was that it was nobody 's
