National Honor Society Application

National Honor Society is a recognized for their exemplary, rigorous students that work to improve their student body and community life. I am aware that this society takes part in many groups and individual projects that require time, honesty, leadership, stewardship, character and service to raise money to suffice to aid charities and the community. I greatly consider myself to be a huge benefit to the National Honor Society at Carrizo Springs High School, because I have the ability to inspire others to strive to their fullest potential. Additionally, I obtain a variable amount of experience from being proactive in my community and surrounding areas. Some of my experiences include working with a diverse population, managing my time, learning and training to become a disciplined, responsible student-athlete, and acquire the skills on a variety forms of conflict management, and the ability to plan and organize projects. For example, in Vacation Bible School, I have been an instructor for two years and have taught ages 5-9 and 9-13. It was quite a hassle, because not only was my job was stressful - due to planning my lessons, buying the crafts for the projects, attending early to set up, and helping the other instructors - but exciting! I loved spending my time with this project, because I became familiar with a entire new role of responsibilities. Now, it was not just a report due at a particular time or studying for an exam, but taking responsibility for a children and teaching them - it wasn’t just my self-care anymore.
