A non-conformance occurred related to the manufacturing of our product. Once the non-conformance was identified I held a meeting with the colleagues assigned to perform the rework activities. Through this process I found out that the colleagues interpreted my terminology in their own way, transforming my words into something they were more familiar with. Failing to understand the terminology I used coupled with the colleagues not asking questions caused issues when completing tasks assigned to them.
