Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancer that starts in cells called lymphocytes, which are a part of the body’s immune system. Lymphocytes are in the lymph node and other lymphoid tissue. Lymphomas start in the lymphoid tissue and can spread to other organs. Adult non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a disease in which cancer (malignant) cells are found in the lymph system.
