North of America is the home to hundreds of Native American tribes; they live in many different regions of the United States. They all are well known as the primitive people from these lands. People who had been living here for many years even before massive emigration of humans started moving in from New England to the east territory of the US. These native tribes once were taken over their lands by the English colonies who wanted to own the Indians lands. English people came well-armed and prepared to battle in the fields by having huge armies and heavy munitions such guns, canyons, sword, and horses as transportation. According to “SONECON” (Pg. 8) the owners of this oil industry are “millions of ordinary Americans who invest their retirement savings in funds that own large shares of American oil and gas companies.” For example, two of the powerful people are “Robert J. Shapiro and Nam D. Pham”, Who Owns America's Oil and Natural Gas Companies. The purpose of this project is to have a local resource and use it to increase the wealth in this country. It is estimate to a cost of 3.8 billion of dollars, and instead of getting it from other nations which cost more money in transportation and process. The national government supports this idea of having a local source that can supply the whole nation at a lover cost.
In contrast, various tribes who oppose to the project are the Sioux.
