Observation Of Early Childhood Toys

In the room children are given many opportunities and toys to play freely. Around the room there are designated areas where children can play and learn through a specific concept.These are often referred to as centers. Some of these areas include: dollhouse, dress up, blocks, science, house, music, puzzles, and library. Each of these centers incorporates toys that are related to their specific concept. With the student that I observed, she played in a variety of centers throughout the observation. These centers included dollhouse, dress-up, blocks, and puzzles. Throughout the observation she used various materials in each center. Some of the materials were: dollhouse, doll furniture, dolls, animals, car, baby, blanket, lab coat, med kit, blocks
